Personal Accomplishments!
Here are a few hobbies of mine that I am proud of. These are moments that shaped who I am, how I create, learn, and grow!

I am a big fan of the outdoors and seeing the world! I love to hike—so much in fact that my three friends and I decided to hike 50 miles without rest this summer! In comparison, the widest distance across NH is roughly 70 miles. We hiked continuously on the Appalachian Trail all the way back to our dorm rooms on campus. Summiting over 5 major peaks in the White Mountain Range, we burned an estimated 13,000 calories over 24 hours. We hiked straight all night, watching the sunset on Cube Mountain and the sunrise on Holts Ledge. "The Fifty" was the hardest thing I have ever done. After completing it, I stayed in bed for nearly a week! The mental challenge to keep moving when your whole body, sleep deprived with 20 miles to go, was on another level! My friends and I were a cohesive team. We supported one another through tough times. Together we did many practice hikes, learning skills to reduce injury and obtain proper nutrition. Below is us summiting our first peak (left) and the right is us just finishing the journey!

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been fascinated with flags. Such simple art can evoke such deep feelings and core identities in people! I can identity any country flag by heart. Before I left my hometown before college, I decided to take my hobby and turn it into action. As a parting gift, I created a flag that represents the community I grew up in. Happy with the design, I took to town hall to advocate and give presentations on why a village flag would be beneficial to community pride and the economy after COVID. My flag was official approved as the new flag in 2023, and my design was featured in the top national flag magazine (seen below)!

My mom had a DSLR to take family photos on and I was curious to experiment with it. I took a lot of nature photography for a while, but found passion in attempting to shoot pictures at night, such as the landscapes of the stars and the moon. I think I found peace in realizing how small we are, as I attempted to such big things as just a tiny little human. Night photography takes a lot of planning and timing, you need the settings, focus, and weather conditions to be just right. I remember exactly the environment around me as I took each photo, with crickets chirping around me. My picture of the comet NEOWISE was featured on the local news!
I worked my first job as a photographer at a national youth baseball tournament, making money dodging foul balls as I tried to capture the second a home run was hit.
After that summer, I decided to take the skies once again, but in a new way. I bought myself a DJI camera drone, and learned to fly it but taking shots around the area. I found the videos at these high vantage points to be inspiring, and decided to make a short film, which you can check out at the right!
